வணக்கம். நான் உயர்நிலைக் கல்வி பயின்ற தாசர் பள்ளியை என்னால் என்றுமே மறக்க முடியாது; மறக்கவும் மாட்டேன். எனது சொந்த ஊரான அரண்வாயில் கிராமத்தில் ஏழாம் வகுப்பு வரை படித்தபின் தாசர் பள்ளியில் சேர்ந்தேன். முந்தைய பள்ளியில் எட்டு வகுப்புகளும் ஒரே ஹாலில் ஒன்றை அடுத்து ஒன்றாக இருக்கும். தாசர் பள்ளியில் சேர்ந்தவுடன் ஒவ்வொரு வகுப்பிற்கு மற்றும் தனித் தனி வகுப்பறை என்பதே ஒரு புது அனுபவமாக இருந்தது. பிறந்த ஊர் ஒரு கிராமம் ஆனதாலும், எங்களது குடும்பம் ஏழை விவசாயக் குடும்பம் என்பதாலும், நான் வளர்ந்த விதமும், பழக்க வழக்கங்களும் வேறானது. ஆனால் தாசர் பள்ளிக்கு வந்தவுடன், உடனிருந்த சக மாணவர்களை பார்த்த போது நாம் நம்மை மாற்றிக் கொள்ள வேண்டும் என்ற எண்ணம் தான் முதலில் தோன்றியது. அந்த அளவுக்கு ஒழுக்கம் என்பது என் பள்ளியில் முதன்மையானதாகக் கருதப்பட்டதாய் நான் உணர்ந்தேன். பெரியோரை மதித்தல், பிறரிடம் அன்பு செலுத்துதல், நம்மிலும் வறியோர்க்கு உதவுதல், தீமை செய்வோர்க்கும் நன்மை செய்தல் போன்ற மனிதகுல நற்பண்புகளை இப்பள்ளியில் தான் கற்றுக்கொண்டேன். இவ்வாறான நற்பண்புகளை கற்றுக் கொண்டதால்தான், நம்மை உருவாக்குவதில் பெரும் பங்கு வகித்த "தாசர் பள்ளிக்கு" நன்றிக்கடன் செலுத்தும் வகையில், முன்னாள் மாணவர் சங்கத்தில் இணைந்து பள்ளியின் வளர்ச்சிக்கு என் பங்கை செலுத்த முடிவெடுத்தேன். தாசர் பள்ளி நூற்றாண்டை நிறைவு செய்யும் இந்த காலகட்டத்தில், எனக்கு ஆசிரியர்களாக இருந்த அர்ப்பணிப்பு உள்ளம் கொண்டோரை நன்றியுடன் நினைவு கூர்ந்து கடமைப்பட்டுள்ளேன். ஏழை மற்றும் நடுத்தரக் குடும்பங்களின் குழந்தைகளுக்கு கல்வி அறிவு கொடுக்கும் இப்பள்ளி மேலும் வளர்ந்து, சேவையைத் தொடர வேண்டும் என்று உளமார விழைகிறேன்.

My memory is still fresh! Surrounded by Mango groove, I could always smell the freshness around me while studying from 1st to 11th Standard in Dasar’s High School (1968 to 1979). The care bestowed on the students by all the Teachers would match the Parental care that we all got at home in every sense. The simplicity and values apart from the knowledge through studies that I had learnt from the school have become pretty much part of my DNA. No wonder, I continue to get accolades from all people around me on that front. I fully owe this to my parents & school teachers!.

I am immensely thankful and grateful to all my beloved Teachers from Dasar’s High School for making me what I am today. A well respected professional until 2016 in Indian Telecom, Heading National Customer Service Operations for Tata Tele Services Ltd based out of New Delhi and managing over 2000 people & partners across the width & breadth of India. Iam currently Vice President of Big Basket, India’s leading online Supermarket.

I also would like to recollect my dear Parents contribution to the school Mrs Vasantha Lakshmi & Mr TSK Chari at this moment Mom was an Old student of the school and Dad was the PTA President for decades.

Our family will continue to adore Dasar’s Higher Secondary School and we would remain connected with the school in every possible way.
